Press publish illustrated miniature books in Riverside,
California. Our books are
printed on a photo-quality inkjet printer, and individually hand sewn
in signatures
and case-bound
using traditional bookbinding techniques. The books are bound
in
decorative paper and leather from all over the world.

Our
books come in two sizes: miniature books (usually under 3"), and
micro-miniature, or dollhouse scale books (under 1"). The illustrations
and print are crisp and readable, even at smaller sizes.

Thirty Portraits

Photographs of antique lace, used as the inspiration for thirty digitally altered images. Each lace fragment retains its own design identity, which becomes the source of a synthesis of ancient craft and modern digital manipulation. The result is an artistic interpretation of the soul of the lace, its portrait.
Bound in embroidered black kid leather from an antique glove, with a background of pink Japanese lace tissue. The volume has decorative endpapers with a pattern of lace bobbins. Each glove provides lace for only two bindings, so only four will be made until I can find another pair of embroidered leather gloves.
