"Cloud
is the dream of water, as ice is its nightmare"
The largest microminiature book we've ever published, and with a correspondingly high
concept: that water sees itself caught between the limitations
of ice
and the freedom of vapor. In its solid form water loses its ability to
flow, to rush, to spray, to change. As cloud, water can express its own
artistic potential, forming shapes and colors of endless variety. The
illustrations in this book are digitally altered to show some of the
amazing variety of clouds as water might see them, with heightened
colors, dramatic shapes, and slightly watery texture.
Quarter-bound
in cream, salmon, and blue marbled paper with a spine of cream kid
leather, and raised bands. The book has decorative endpapers and a
paper title pasted on the spine. The illustrations are photo quality
inkjet-printed.
