Ring Out Wild Bells

RING OUT, WILD BELLS by Alfred, Lord Tennyson

1 1/16" x 2 11/16"

"Ring Out, Wild Bells" forms part of Tennyson's long elegy "In Memoriam"; one of the three Christmas pieces  that mark the passage of time in the poem. Its lines swing back and forth from grief to redress, strife to nobility, civic slander to the common love of good.and  the thousand wars of old to the thousand years of peace.

Ring in the valiant man and free,

   The larger heart, the kindlier hand;
   Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in the Christ that is to be.

The book is bound in a gold and white paper printed with crysamthymums and has a gold loop with which to hang it on your tree
